Sense and Sensibility was created by Lesley in 1999.
Over 10 years ago there was a limited selection of bridal shops in the Cheshire area who provided an extensive and creative up-to-date range of gowns for brides, whereby brides did not have a great incentive to remain local feeling that they had been given a great choice in one location.
With much endeavour and passion, a fascinating Aladin's Cave of beauty has been created.
Year after year, adding and encompassing change in style, colour and perception, Sense and Sensibility has become established as having a fantastic collection of beautiful gowns.. even known to stop traffic on the A6!
Lesley is extremely proud of the collections which are the foundation of the business. Respected and credited designer's adorn the rails in this quaint boutique style bridal establishment.
Fabulous relationships have been built up with Maggie Sottero, Amanda Wyatt, Ronald Joyce, Loulou Bridal and KAY MASON! This positive energy makes the whole process very enjoyable with everyone taking pride in working together.
From outside, the size of Sense and Sensibility is extremely deceiving, as once you step foot inside this newly refurbished bridal boutique you will be intrigued ... how can it be possible that so many beautiful and wonderful creations are available ?
The prices have always remained very reasonable and realistic. Each week, many brides comment that they are pleasantly surprised when they are made aware of the price of the gown and the wonderful accessories.
For brides who are on a budget or careful with money, conveniently in store is a rail specifically priced below £500 where all the discontinued sample gowns are displayed. Within the past two weeks alone, at least 4 brides have been truly delighted that they have been able to wear a Maggie Sottero or Amanda Wyatt for under £300. This has very much helped to make their day super special!
In August of this year, after eventually acting upon feedback and listening to Brides (and their mum's!), the premises has extended upstairs, where you will now find a welcoming sales floor filled with glamour and occasional wear for almost all ages and styles.
Mother of the bride outfits will not exceed £500 which was a definite request.
Each month, new styles and designs are arriving, from designers such as Sarah Danielle, Veni Infantino and our newcomer .. Frank Saul's Mascara range!
These are surely going to be a hit with our ladies who want something different at a very reasonable price. Any star spotters out there who follow the designer's fashions will be very interested in these designs which should be with us from November onwards.
Fabulous fascinators and hat creations are arriving daily along with vintage shoes and handbags from Pure and Precious who are happy to dye for a nominal amount.
Bride's from many miles distance as well as local Bride's on our doorstep visit Sense and Sensibility, whether it be through our much admired window display, word of mouth or the fact that their style is recognised in the shop's designs on the website
